In 1999 Chad was presented with a medal and certificate for winning the American History Essay Contest while attending Avery Middle School. It was presented to him by the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Chad's hobbies include paint-balling, weight lifting, and he is active in sports. He received his 3rd degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do in May, 2004 and received his instructors certification in 2006 In 2010 Chad received his 4th degree posthumous.

Chad graduated in 2005 from Cookeville High School where he played for the Cavaliers as a Center ( CAV 55). Chad was also a member of the Wrestling team in 2003.

Chad lived in Nashville, TN while attending Nashville State University. He is buried in Metter, GA

Casi received her 1st degree Black Belt in Taekwondo in 2001 and her second degree in 2004.

Casi competed in her first beauty pageants in 2003 and won 2003 Miss Southern Beauty Tennessee Princess and 2003 Putnam County Fair Princess. In 2005 and 2006 she competed in the Tennessee National American Miss pageant in Nashville and in 2005 she achieved second runner up. That year she also won the best resume award.

Casi has competed in cheerleading at Power Athletics, Cookeville High School in TN and recently with Elite and Panther Creek High School In Cary, NC.

Her Friends, her Dog, Chloe "Best Friend and Companion", her car and ECU. Casi graduated with a BS in Public Health in December 2014.
